The Curriculum of Life
Welcome to The Village Schoolhouse. We are a homeschool village created to bring back the joy of learning. A place where children are free to grow at their own pace and develop life skills that will carry them far beyond childhood.
We call it The Curriculum of Life™ — an approach that sees learning not as something confined to four walls or textbooks, but as something alive in the world around us. We educate through purposeful experiences, teaching real-life skills that children carry with them far beyond childhood. Through hands-on exploration, rich literature, meaningful conversation, time in nature, and intentional skill-building, students discover that learning isn’t a task to complete — it’s a lifelong journey to embrace.
We are reclaiming the joy of learning for our children and the generations to come.

Fall 2026
The Village Schoolhouse Model
We’re launching this fall with our class meeting Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and our Clubs meeting on Fridays, in Old Magnolia, TX for ages 4+.
The Littles (ages 4+) meet from 9–12 PM
The Bigs (ages 10+) meet from 1–4 PM
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, The Littles dive into hands-on learning through thematic units that blend history, science, arts, mathematics, and literacy with nature exploration and real-life discovery. Students collaborate, create, and present their work at semester showcases.
Our Bigs program shifts toward deeper thinking and real-world responsibility. Students spend time developing leadership, debating ideas, exploring entrepreneurship, and learning practical life skills such as gardening, caring for animals, and stewardship of the land. Community mentors and local leaders occasionally join us to share their experiences and pour into the next generation.
Thursdays are full Spanish immersion days. Students expand on the previous two days with learning taught entirely in Spanish through hands-on projects, games, storytelling, and conversation.
Language is learned naturally — not through memorization, but through experience.
Fridays we offer Art Club (9–11 AM) and Science Club (12–2 PM). These clubs are open to both current Schoolhouse students and families who are curious about joining us this fall. Parents are welcome to stay onsite during class and relax in our parent lounge while their children participate.
This fall is our pilot year as we lay the foundation for The Village Schoolhouse and build this community alongside our founding families.
