why A schoolhouse?
Across the country, many families are searching for something different for their children a place where curiosity is protected, childhood is honored, and learning feels alive again.
The Village Schoolhouse was born from that same desire in our own home.
Like many mothers, I felt deeply called to be present with my children: to protect their childhood, nurture their curiosity, and build a life centered around family and community. But I also believed that the gifts God places in our hands are meant to be stewarded well.
Proverbs 31 speaks of a woman who “considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.” She multiplies what has been entrusted to her while caring for her household.
The Village Schoolhouse grew from that same idea.
What began as a small Schoolhouse created for our own children has grown into something much bigger… a vision for small, community-centered Schoolhouses in neighborhoods across the country. Places where families come together to cultivate wisdom, creativity, confidence, and character in the next generation.
Our mission is simple:
To help families reclaim the joy of learning and create places where children can grow in wonder, wisdom, and community.
And now, we are inviting mothers, educators, and community leaders to build their own Schoolhouses. To be a part of a growing network of Village Schoolhouses bringing the wonder of learning back to their own communities.
Built to help you build
The Village Schoolhouse model was intentionally designed for founders who feel called to bring something different to the families in their community without having to figure out every piece from scratch.
We have done the grunt work of building, testing, and refining the pieces behind the Schoolhouse: the educational philosophy, Curriculum of Life™, program structure, enrollment process, parent experience, marketing, and day-to-day systems that bring it all together.
As a Village Schoolhouse owner, you are building your own locally owned and operated business, but you're not building alone.
The Village Schoolhouse system provides the framework for:
• The Curriculum of Life™ educational model
• Cubs, Littles + Bigs program structures
• Schoolhouse operations
• Enrollment + admissions systems
• Parent onboarding + communication
• Educator hiring, onboarding + training resources
• Tuition, capacity + program planning
• Marketing + founding-family enrollment strategy
• Clubs, tutoring, camps + additional programming
• Founder training + ongoing support
Our Schoolhouses are intentionally designed to remain small, relational, and built in their communities.
Rather than building a traditional school with hundreds of students, the core Village Schoolhouse model can begin with just 15 Littles and 15 Bigs, with opportunities to expand through Baby Cubs, Cubs, tutoring, clubs, workshops, camps, and other programming based on the needs of each community.
The network goal is simple:
To help families reclaim the joy of learning and create places where children can grow in wonder, wisdom, and community.
